What an amazing trip we have had today. We spilt into 2 groups for a tour of the castle and gardens.
We were met at the door to the castle by a Victorian maid, who brought us to see the hallway, dining room, ballroom and sitting room. The castle was beautifully decorated for Christmas. At the end of the house tour we were all given a sugar mouse from Father Christmas.
For the last part of our day we searched for the 12 days of Christmas scenes around the castle gardens.
We all agreed the toilets were the fanciest we had ever seen!
We have had a fantastic day!
This trip was made possible by a bursary from Hillsborough Castle to assist with the costs. This amount was topped up by the school so that no charges were passed onto parents.
