Our topic this term is ‘Home, Sweet, Home.’ During ABL the children have been painting pictures of homes inspired by Northern Irish artist J.P. Rooney. They have been at the construction site and sand house building houses using a variety of different materials. The highlight for everyone has been using the hand held saw to cut lengths of wood. They have been using their mathematical knowledge of length to ensure the pieces of wood are the correct size. It has been hard work but lots of fun!
