The Big BIG Fermanagh Litter Pick 2024

Thank you to our Year 6 & 7 who helped tidy up our village as part of the Big Clean organised by Fermanagh Omagh and District Council.  Thank you to FODC for supplying all the litter pickers, gloves, hi-vis vests etc to help them carry out their litter picking.  Below is some feedback from FODC.

The Big BIG Fermanagh Litter Pick 2024   Thank you to everyone who took part in The Big BIG Fermanagh Litter Pick 2024, during the last weekend of April. We have collated the success results of the event, and we are delighted to share 1312 volunteers, including 41 organisations/businesses/community groups, 19 schools, and the many individuals and families spread across all corners of Co. Fermanagh. Over the two-day period, 510 bags of litter were collected from the land and over 1.1 tonnes of litter collected from the waterways. This is a massive achievement, and we would like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part. We encourage those who chose to keep their equipment, to continue to collect litter throughout the year, and send us photos to let us know you've been out picking so we can celebrate your efforts!
