Year 5 Healthy Me Workshop

Today Michael from Action Mental Health joined us for a fun, interactive and very informative workshop.  We looked at how we can keep our bodies both physically and mentally healthy.  We learned strategies at how to get us back to our happy zone, including breathing techniques - rollercoaster, calm down cupcake, trace eight and rainbow breath.  We talked about all the people who we can talk to and who can help us.  
We talked about our feelings and things that can happen which affect these.  We learned about our brains and how the different parts work. We sorted behaviours into helpful and unhelpful groups.
